Welcome to the AHA Heart Failure Community
AHA Heart Failure Community Editor
John B. O'Connell, MD, FAHA

Welcome to the American Heart Association Congestive Heart Failure Community for professionals engaged in clinical practice, education, and research related to heart failure. Now that Dr. Clyde Yancy is serving as president-elect of the American Heart Association, it is my honor and privilege to assume his responsibilities on the website. He will be a tough act to follow. Nevertheless, the goals for this community remain the same: to create a repository of information that reflects the most current and most salient information available within the discipline. With your help, I will continue to provide clinical updates and editorial commentaries on a regular basis and to highlight important articles on the subject published in the AHA journals and important presentations at the Annual Scientific Sessions. I am especially pleased to note the recent launch of Circulation: Heart Failure. This new member of the Circulation family of journals will give even more focus on heart failure and will provide a convenient resource for heart failure professionals. A focused update of the ACC/AHA Chronic Heart Failure guidelines will follow shortly, and the site will provide information related to those. Most importantly, I hope to encourage your interest and involvement in the resources presented here. Your feedback is encouraged and appreciated.

Again, welcome to the AHA Community Heart Failure Site.

Thank you for your support!
